Gloucestershire Primary Schools Cross Country Championships
St Edward's Prep School, Cheltenham
 21st March 2015

On Saturday 21st March Charles Hall & Will Connors travelled to Cheltenham to take part in the Gloucestershire Primary Schools Cross Country Championships.

Both boys had earned selection for the Wotton & Dursley District team by taking part in a Saturday winter running league at KLB School.

There were over 100 boys in the Y5/6 race and the course covered approx. 2 km including a fiendish steep hill which really sorted the men from the boys.

Will fought off some stiff competition to come home winner. Meanwhile Charles produced an outstanding display of courage; early on in the race a falling runner trod Charles's shoe off, and gave him a good scrape down the leg.  Despite this, Charles battled on with only one shoe for the remaining three quarters of the race and still finished 16th and 2nd best Wotton & Dursley runner.  What an achievement!

The boys helped Wotton & Dursley boys team into 3rd place in the team competition.

We encourage any keen Trinity runners (Y3 upwards) to take part in the KLB Winter XC series that starts again in October.
