|Colston's School Cross Country Running|
Years 3, 4, 5 & 6

|Report by Bec Gay:-|
Colston’s School in Bristol played host to a cross country event last Thursday. Trinity was represented by 6 children from each year group - Year 3/4 boys,
Year 3/4 girls, Year 5/6 boys and Year 5/6 girls. The event was brilliantly organised. Students from Colston’s School were heavily involved from assisting with warm up exercises to awarding placings over the finish line to having their own county cross county runner guide each race. What an inspiration he was!!! The Year 3/4 children ran over 900m while the Year 5/6s had to endure a punishing course of at least 1500m which included a steep incline.
Fourteen schools from the surrounding area attended with approximately 80 children running in each race. Every child from Trinity ran with sheer determination, guts and drive. The Year 3/4 boys came 2nd in their group with the top 4 runners coming 2nd, 9th, 10th and 15th. Will Connors ran an outstanding race coming 2nd. It was a fight to the end with Will being pipped to the post by only millimeters!!! Well done Will!!!!
The top results in each group were:-
Year 3/4 girls - Belle Edwards 17th
Year 3/4 boys - Will Connors 2nd
Year 5/6 girls - Harriett Taylor 10th
Year 5/6 boys - Tom Connors 8th.
All of the children were a true support to each other.
